Newcastle the New Spurs!
For the first part of the summer, we could count on Spurs to pop in whenever there was a big name Serie A player looking to make a move: Whether the English club actually wanted to player or not, the papers in England were eager to associate them with a bid. Shockingly, not one of the rumors has turned out to have even a grain of truth in it, but I suppose hope springs eternal in London.
