Coming off two consecutive losses, the Chicago Fire bounced back to defeat the New York Red Bulls 2-0 in Harrison, N.J., with a brace from Sherjill MacDonald on Saturday.

The Red Bulls dropped into fourth place in the Eastern Conference with the loss and a win by D.C. United. Depending on the results from the Houston Dynamo and Columbus Crew this weekend, New York could end up in a battle just to reach the playoffs.
