Liverpool miss out on chance close gap on 4th place with draw against Spurs

Liverpool were presented with a golden chance of  going within 2 points of 4th place after Chelsea were held to another draw on the weekend against Manchester United.

But it was not to be as Liverpool were held to their eighth league draw at Anfield by a determined Spurs outfit.

Andy Carroll went close to opening the scoring early on after Steven Gerrard sent through an inch perfect pass to Carroll who was stopped by an inch perfect tackle by Michael Dawson.
