Liverpool thought the racist gesture was a highlight of the Manchester United game

Liverpool have apologised after they used footage of a fan making a racist gesture towards Manchester United defender Patrice Evra in a highlights package on their official website. A spokesman for Liverpool FC told the BBC: "We can confirm that footage was mistakenly included in the highlights package that appeared on the website.
