The Newcastle Journal is reporting today that the release clause in Demba Ba's contract doesn't take effect until the summer. Demba Ba - unplayable as shown here against Manchester United We have to hope that's true because if it is, it's small wonder that the Newcastle hierarchy were said to be relaxed about the Demba Ba contract situation.
