Monday Kickoff: Inter bid for Tevez, Maradona released from hospital and more

Inter Milan have stepped up their efforts to sign Carlos Tevez as the tumultuous transfer saga surrounding the controversial striker shows no signs of dissipating.

The Serie A giants have offered Manchester City more than $32 million to sign Tevez in the January transfer window. Inter president Massimo Moratti opened communication with the Premier League club after a possible deal with AC Milan crumbled at the last minute.
