CONCACAF Adjusts Champions League

The 2012-13 CONCACAF Champions League will drop the preliminary round, expand the group stage, and seed it by country North and Central America's Confederation announced on Thursday. "This new format will streamline the first phase of the competition," CONCACAF acting general secretary Ted Howard said.
