Freddie Flintoff – Depression In Sport
To those of you who missed it there was a really good program on BBC 1 last night based on depression in sport. The show was presented by and based mainly upon Freddie Flintoff and his own battle against depression whilst very much in the spotlight playing cricket for England.
Flintoff said how there was a lot of pressure on him to be the leader of the cricket team and to motivate others and lead them to victory but there were times when he felt so low that he wasn't able to do this, yet felt unable to admit to his issues in front of his team-mates.
