Brad Friedel and Spurs got the better of Tim Howard and Landon Donovan's Everton in the latest battle of the Americans at Premier League level. Aaron Lennon fired in a shot from distance to open the scoring in the 35th minute, and Benoit Assou-Ekotto made it 2-0 with a strong shot in the 63rd. Friedel had an easy night, with Everton not putting a shot on goal.
