It wasn't a particularly strong field for one reason or another but, after whittling their 10-strong shortlist down to a final three, FIFA saw fit to hand their Puskas Award for the best goal scored during 2011 to Santos wunderkind Neymar for his fine fleet-footed 'slalom' effort against Flamengo back in July.
