VDV’s absence offers others a chance to shine

Rafael van der Vaart's brittle hamstrings let him down again last night as the Dutchman was forced off at half time in Spurs' encounter with Chelsea.

VDV enjoyed a good run in the side at the start of Tottenham's climb up the table but this latest setback leaves Harry Redknapp with a selection headache as the club heads into the festive season.
