Breaking: Season over for Reds ace

Liverpool's official website has posted a disappointing update on the status of midfielder Lucas Leiva, revealing that the Brazilian will miss the remainder of the season due to knee problems.

Lucas played 70 minutes of the Reds' 2-0 win away to Chelsea in one of Tuesday's three Carling Cup quarterfinals before being replaced by summer signing Charlie Adam.
