Steve Bruce Out At Sunderland
Sunderland have announced they have fired manager Steve Bruce and that assistant manager Eric Black has taken over interim first-team duties.
A statement on the Sunderland web site from Chairman Ellis Short said:
"This has been a difficult time for everyone at Sunderland and is not a situation that any of us envisaged or expected to be in.
