Why the FA should be applauded for poppy efforts
Fifa, yet again, has proved itself incapable of valuing anything except financial gain in its refusal to allow England to wear a poppy emblem against Spain on Saturday. At least the FA did what they could. England will wear poppies on their training tops while the anthems are played, a wreath will be laid and a poppy emblem will appear on the scoreboard.
