Manassas native, JMU alumn C.J. Sapong named 2011 MLS Rookie of the Year
Major League Soccer announced the first of many 2011 season awards today by naming former James
Madison University standout C.J. Sapong as the MLS Rookie of the Year for 2011.
Sapong beat out D.C. Uniteds' own Perry Kitchen to win this years award recognizing the leagues
best first year player.
