I really didn't want to be assessed - not because I don't like assessments, I do. I've had one informal assessment that went very badly (although the assessor got put into a defensive and argumentative posture before he even got to me - to the point where he was arguing things that aren't supposed to be up for debate), but otherwise I've learned a lot about them.
