Defender speaks for Arsenal duo

After signing a new deal at the Emirates Stadium, Thomas Vermaelen just cannot wait to return to the pitch, where Arsenal began their recovery from a poor start with a 2-1 home win over Sunderland.

Vermaelen may not enjoy being a spectator after spending so much time on the sidelines in the last year but on Sunday afternoon, he was delighted to see two of his teammates respond brilliantly to their doubters.
