English left back is club’s “best player”
Influential Everton center back Phil Jagielka has praised teammate Leighton Baines, telling the club's official website that the left back has been the club's "best player" in recent years.
Despite a convincing defeat at the hands of Chelsea on Saturday, Baines will welcome the comments as Fabio Capello begins to contemplate his squad for next summer's European Championships.
