Arsenal 2 – Sunderland 1: Who Else, but Van Persie?
Coming off a long and quite International break, Arsenal were facing Sunderland at home in the Sunday sun in what could have been billed as a 'relegation' match as both clubs were mired in the bottom quarter of the table. Arsenal having started the season in their worst form since 1974, a win was an absolute must for the men in red and white.
