Irish Eyes Are Smiling After Controversial Win
Irish eyes were smiling last night as the Rep. of Ireland beat Armenia in controversial fashion at the Aviva with a 2-1 win which guaranteed them a play-off spot for next years Euro 2012 Finals in Poland and Ukraine.
The turning point in the game came mid-way through the first half when Armenian keeper Roman Berezovsky was sent off for hand ball despite pictures showing the ball hit his chest and not his arm, to add insult to the Armenian camp Irish striker Simon Cox admitted he controlled the ball with his arm accidentally.
