Rio Ferdinand To The Chicago Fire?
The Chicago Fire of Major League Soccer are said to be desperate for a high-profile English player to enable them to compete with David Beckham's LA Galaxy, and have reportedly identified Rio Ferdinand as their main target.
Ferdinand will be 33 next month and is out of contract at Manchester United at the end of next season (2013) and with the progress of Phil Jones and Chris Smalling it is unlikely that United would be interested in signing a then 34-year-old Ferdinand especially when he is on £120,000-a-week.
