Fan Shot Before Argentine Derby
Derby clashes are always fiercely contested affairs but when violence hits heir a non contest. Argntina's volatile Avellaneda derby between Racing Club and Independiente was one such contest after a fan was shot during fighting between rival fans which got out of hand. The match ended 1-1, but with 1,200 Police officers needed and no doubt more Hospital staff, it would make you wonder 'Is it all worth it'?
