Lampard silences critics in draw

Frank Lampard responded brilliantly to his bitter critics by scoring a wonderfully placed shot past Valencia goalkeeper Diego Alves to hand Chelsea 1-0 lead in their Group E match at La Mestalla.

Ever since being substituted at half-time during the Blues' 3-1 defeat at Manchester United last Sunday, Lampard has lost his guaranteed starting place to the likes of Ramires and Raul Meireles.
