Behind The Axe: unbelievably frustrating weekend for the Portland Timbers
It wasn't the best of weekends for the Portland Timbers or their fans, as they dealt with the repercussions of a controversial loss in New York, the playoff race tightening up for the 9th and 10th spots, and one of their bitter rivals hoisting the Cascadia Cup as victors in 2011. The battle for the playoffs isn't lost yet, but the margin for error is getting slimmer by the week, and the Timbers match in Vancouver is a must win for them to have any chance at the postseason.
