Underdogs frustrate Europe’s elite

Throughout the summer, football pundits wasted no opportunity in hyping the current Premier League season to be the most competitive in the history of English top flight.

Many described the level of competition to result in a plethora of twists and turns, with champions Manchester United tipped to lose a ton of sleep due to the star power of neighbors Manchester City and the strength of Andre Villas-Boas' experienced Chelsea side.
