Veterans punish Leeds
Michael Owen and Ryan Giggs guided Manchester United past Leeds United with a comfortable 3-0 win at Elland Road in tonight's most highly anticipated Carling Cup clash.
Leeds shocked the Red Devils with a 1-0 win at Old Trafford in an FA Cup third round clash at the beginning of last year but this time around, the reigning Barclays Premier League champions made light work of their opponents, putting them away with an unassailable three-goal lead at the interval.
