Liverpool's Downing to show Spurs what they missed out on
Stewart Downing will show the Spurs faithful what they missed out on when they decided against signing him back in the summer of 2008.
Downing has been a huge hit so far since he signed from Aston Villa, providing Liverpool with much needed width down the flanks. But it has been revealed that Tottenham were originally interested in signing Downing back in the summer of 2008 in his Middlesbrough days.
