Set pieces costly as Badgers fall late
The final tuneup for the University of Wisconsin women's soccer team before the Big Ten Conference schedule starts ended in stunning fashion.
Senior forward Chelsi Abbott chipped a shot over Badgers senior goalkeeper Michele Dalton from the 6-yard box off a free kick in the 89th minute as Central Michigan surprised UW 2-1 in a non-conference match Wednesday night at the McClimon Complex.
