Giants humbled ahead of Champions League

With the UEFA Champions League group stages kicking off less than 48 hours, many of Europe's most distinguished clubs had one eye on the midweek and consequently, they were punished for not being fully focused on their league opponents.

It all started on Friday night with AC Milan dropping two points at home to Lazio in the Serie A's opening fixture of the season.
