Seattle - Chicago For The Open Cup
The Seattle Sounders and Chicago Fire advanced to the US Open Cup final on Wednesday night. Chicago beat the Richmond Kickers 2-1 at Toyota Park, taking a 2-0 lead with goals from Sebastian Grazzini and Dominic Oduro. Richmond scored in the 68th minute but were unable to come up with an equalizer. At the Starfire Complex in Tukwila, Washington, the home standing Sounders needed a 40th minute goal from Fredy Montero to shutout Dallas.
