Blues close in on former Reds target
Chelsea are officially locked in talks with Portuguese champions FC Porto over the potential transfer of full-back Alvaro Pereira.
Pereira, who was linked with Liverpool throughout the summer before Reds boss Kenny Dalglish swooped for Spaniard Jose Enrique, is an attractive option for the Blues as he thrived under manager Andre Villas-Boas at Porto last year.
