Magpies fill void with wonderkid signing
Newcastle United have smoothly concluded the signing of Inter Milan left-back Davide Santon on a 5-year deal.
The arrival of 20-year old Santon effectively ends the club's search of a replacement for Spaniard Jose Enrique, who joined Liverpool earlier this summer.
Manager Alan Pardew had initially began negotiations with PSV Eindhoven over the services of left-back Erik Pieters as Enrique's replacement but the lack of progress on that front prompted the Magpies to pursue Santon instead.
