Jered Weaver Falters on Short Rest
The Los Angeles Angels were desperate for a win on Sunday night against the Texas Rangers. How desperate? They sent out their $85 million man Jered Weaver on three days of rest. The gamble ended up being a bad decision as the Rangers blasted the Angels by a final score of 9-5.
Weaver came into the game with the lowest ERA in the American League but couldn't do much of anything right on short rest.
