Jim Thome Traded to Indians
Jim Thome, at 40 years of age, is going back to where it all started. The Minnesota Twins traded the slugger to the Cleveland Indians for a player to be named later. On the season, Thome is hitting .243 with 12 homers, 40 RBIs and a .351 on-base percentage.
The designated hitter began his career as a third baseman for the Indians in 1991 and played in Cleveland until the 2002 season.
