Magpies manager blames ‘brinkmanship’
Newcastle United boss Alan Pardew has assured the club's fans that at least two more players are poised to arrive at Tyneside over the next week as QPR-bound midfielder Joey Barton prepares to follow Jose Enrique out of St. James' Park.
The Magpies also lost former skipper Kevin Nolan earlier in the summer and Barton's impending departure means that Pardew desperately needs to bolster the squad despite his side's impressive start to the season.
