Video: Liverpool to sign defender Coates?
South American press are now saying that Liverpool have beaten off strong competition to have a £10m bid accepted for defender Sebastian Coates by his club.
The 20 year old 6ft5in defender was a star for Uruguay at the recent Copa America, picking up the award for the best young player of the tournament.
