Behind the Axe: Strange night in Kansas City, thoughts turn to Cascadia Cup match versus Vancouver
A strange night in Kansas City didn't help the Portland Timbers in their quest for the 2011 MLS playoffs, as Sporting Kansas City rode two goals by Graham Zusi to a 3 to 1 win over the Timbers. There was a delay during the match as Sporting Kansas City goalkeeper Jimmy Nielsen was injured by a fan thrown projectile, but he remained in the match after receiving treatment.
