Weekend Results: Punches & Point Scoring

Theoretically, this should have been a relatively quiet results post. It's the first weekend of the EPL season, admittedly, but there were no fixtures that screamed controversy and with Spain and Italy yet to kick off, we were hoping to bumble about quietly in the Bundesliga and Ligue 1 before sneaking off for an early lunch.
