United signing clarifies role

Nineteen year old Manchester United signing Phil Jones has indicated to fans and reporters that his preferred position is defense. Jones was widely hailed for his qualities at center back for Blackburn last season, but has also been utilized in a holding midfield role.

With United lacking numbers in the middle of the park this season there was some speculation that Jones could fill that role, but he's made it clear that he prefers defense.
