FC Dallas joined Toronto in winning the opening game of their CONCACAF Champions League preliminary series. On the road in San Salvador, Jackson scored the game's only goal in the 70th minute. Dallas put one other shot on frame, while a strong performance from goalkeeper Kevin Hartman shutout Alianza with three saves.
