Portland Timbers don’t lose focus, beat Independiente 2 to 0 convincingly
A poised Portland Timbers club showed quite a progression versus a seasoned Independiente club from Argentina. Behind first half goals from Sal Zizzo and Brian Umony combined with a stellar defensive effort in the second half, the Timbers secured a well earned 2 to 0 victory. They can now turn their attention to Toronto FC and their next MLS league fixture on July 30.
