In front of the NSC Stars' largest home crowd of the season (3,071), Minnesota defeated the struggling Montreal Impact 1-0. The goal came in the 33rd minute on a penalty kick taken by Neil Hlavaty.
For the Stars, it was another game where the home team came out of the chutes quickly and dominated play but struggled with the final ball and scoring opportunities.
