Toronto's Nick Soolsma converted a penalty kick in the 54th minute, and that was the difference for Wednesday night's MLS game. Stefan Frei picked up the shutout in front of 19,816 at BMO Field. Vancouver left several regulars on the bench to start the game, giving the appearance of a team focused on Saturday's Canadian championship game - also against Toronto - and advancing to the CONCACAF Champions League.
