Arsenal Close in on Gary Cahill and Christopher Samba

Arsenal are close to completing the signing of Bolton defender Gary Cahill for an estimated £17 million with Cahill ready to agree personal terms.

Earlier this month the Arsenal chief executive Ivan Gazidis met with his Bolton counterpart Phil Gartside to discuss the possibility of the 25-year-old's transfer, with Arsenal coach Arsene Wenger also ready to seal the transfer of Christopher Samba from Blackburn Rovers.
