In a match of limited opportunities, Clint Dempsey made his one chance count, scoring from close range after a fantastic set-up from Landon Donovan and Freddy Adu in the 77th minute. Dempsey's goal would be all the U.S. needed to defeat Panama 1-0 at Reliant Stadium in Houston, Texas and advance to the CONCACAF Gold Cup Final on Saturday.
