Gold Cup 2011: Quick thoughts on USA vs. Panama first half

Few thoughts on the first half;

  • The USA are getting possession in a deep position in midfield so their transition into the attacking third is much slower than against Jamaica. Credit to Panama for making the adjustments necessary to limit space high in the midfield.
  • The United States is playing a much more physical game, matching the physical intensity of Panama.
