Espinoza and Honduras Advance
Roger Espinoza got his first minutes of the Gold Cup, starting for Honduras in their Gold Cup quarterfinal against Costa Rica. Espinoza started and played 80 minutes before making way for Carlo Costly. The Honduras defeated the Costa Ricans on penalty kicks 4-2 after finishing the game tied 1-1. Espinoza helped to set up the Honduran goal, sending a long ball over the top to Javier Portillo.
