It Has Begun!

The first games of the 2011 FIFA U-17 World Cup were this evening in Morelia and Monterrey, with Groups A and B begining play.

Mexico got off to a nightmare-ish start against North Korea, allowing a goal in just the third minute. The hosts leveled the score in the 37th minute, lifting the weight off their shoulders, and used two second-half goals to take three points in the official opening game of the tournament.
