Spurs sign American keeper
In their quest to make a return to the Champions League, Tottenham Hotspur have signed American goalkeeper Brad Friedel. The 40 year old was available on a free transfer from Aston Villa, and his arrival at White Hart Lane has seemingly paved the way for Brazilian Gomes to leave the club.
"Brad is a top goalkeeper of real quality who has great experience," Spurs boss Harry Redknapp told the club's official website.
