In memoriam: Gil Scott Heron

One of the truest voices in contemporary times is no more. Gil Scott Heron was the voice of elegant outrage and inconvenient truths dazzling us with a cascade of indelible words and images. Poet, activist, humanist. I had the honour of listening to him in SOB's years ago in one of his increasingly infrequent appearances but his art and passion were unmistakable.
